We meet people where they are, in a spirit of love and mutual respect, and through that friendship and developing our own life of virtue, we pray that those friends might also be drawn closer to the Divine source of our own inner strength and healing. Thank you for sharing that experience, and thanks for reading. She knew I was very Catholic and very pro-life and pregnant with my first child. She told me because she knew that I wouldn't judge her. We cried together a lot. The gospel reading the following Sunday was about the adulterous woman and Jesus telling those without sin that they could cast the first stone.

I was completely humbled that my friend would trust me with that info and why. The gospel reading confirmed that I had handled it the way I should have.

Had I known before would I have encouraged her not to go through with it? Absolutely. Did I condemn her? No.

Personally, I think that people need to remember that we are called to treat others as Christ would. That is our calling as a Christian. Besides, after loving God with our whole being, we are to love others as we love ourselves. Using hurtful language doesn't do anything to build a relationship.Denisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17528191023707738531noreply@blogger.com
